Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival

The year 1987 observed the inauguration of the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival when John Giovando, an attorney with a love of classical music, and Ida Kavafian, acclaimed violinist, first introduced world-class chamber musicians to the Vail Valley through a chamber music tour. These concerts started small; at one of these first concerts the musicians actually outnumbered the audience! Through a love of classical music, great leadership and stupendous support from the community, the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival has grown from a handful of attendees to an audience of more than 60,000.

The glorious sounds of orchestral and chamber music will once again fill the air of the majestic Rocky Mountains in late June to early August. World-class orchestras, world-class soloists and world-class venues - it's how Bravo stands apart as one of the leading music festivals in the country. With four resident orchestras and guest soloists from around the world, Bravo brings first-rate culture to the Vail Valley. With music to match its mountains, the Festival is a summer tradition that is not to be missed.
