Beaver Creek Rodeo

The Beaver Creek rodeo features professional cowboys, great down-home food and for the kids, the ever-popular mutton bustin'.


Dust off your cowboy boots and tack on some spurs for the 12th Annual Beaver Creek Rodeo Series, presented by the Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa.

The Rodeo is located in Avon behind the Chapel Square shopping center. On site parking is available. Guests may also take the free shuttle from Beaver Creek Village.

The Beaver Creek Rodeo is held most Thursdays throughout the summer.

Enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, shopping, and an authentic Western BBQ and Saloon. 


Registering to Compete:
If you are interested in competing in the Beaver Creek Rodeo, please call Jodi (Tuesdays prior to the event you wish to enter) between 7.00 & 9.00pm at (970) 949-3212.  There are no requirements to enter however events fill up so call as early as possible.

BAREBACK
To win this event, the cowboy must hang on to the bucking bronco with just one hand, and endure 8 long seconds of whiplash, whirling, and twirling.

CALF SCRAMBLE
Kids, now it's your turn - The first five buckaroos to capture ribbons from the tails of a group of friendly calves win prizes!

TEAM ROPING
Two cowboys, a header and a heeler, work together to catch a steer as fast as possible, earning points for their skill and speed.

MUTTON BUSTIN'
The youngest cowboys and cowgirls show their stuff in this Rodeo favorite. The buckaroo who holds on to his or her wild-n-wooly sheep the longest brings home a trophy!

BARREL RACING
Elegant riding and precise timing are the keys to winning this intense competition which consists of sprinting into the arena and tightly turning around three barrels.

BURRO RACING
Moms and Dads - create teams of 3 to test your donkey handling and riding abilities!

BULL RIDING
In this dangerous Rodeo event, bull riders must overcome 2000 lbs of angry animal angst for 8 exciting seconds.

*Kids may sign up for Mutton Bustin' and the Calf Scramble at the Info Tent each Thursday night once the Rodeo gates open.

Please note that the rodeo takes place rain or shine and tickets are therefore non-refundable.  Tickets are not dated other than the year and dates of the series so a ticket is good for any rodeo held during the summer.

Tickets:
Tickets are for General Admission and may be purchased at the Beaver Creek Information Center up to 3pm on the day of the rodeo, or at the rodeo begininning at 5pm on the day of the rodeo. Tickets must be purchased in person (no telephone or mail order) except for groups of 20 or more who can order advance tickets through Beaver Creek Group Sales (telephone 970-845-9090 no later than one week before the rodeo the group wishes to attend).
