The Bud Light Hot Summer Nights free concert series is back with sun, fun and of course, incredible music! Ford Amphitheatre is the destination for visitors and locals alike every Tuesday night from June through August, as Hot Summer Nights is the social event of the season. Bud Light Hot Summer Nights is a project of the Vail Valley Foundation.

GERALD R. FORD AMPHITHEATER

Since first opening its doors during the summer of 1987, the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater has served as the heart of artistic and cultural life for summer residents and guests in the Vail Valley. The effort to construct the spectacular open-air venue in Ford Park began in 1981, but, due to organizational challenges, fundraising and construction both came to a halt three years later. In 1985, the Vail Valley Foundation agreed to take control of the facility, raised the remaining $2.2 million needed to compete construction and opened the amphitheater?s doors to the Vail Valley community in 1987.

Since then, more than one million people have enjoyed some of the world?s premier performers at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre, including John Denver, Willie Nelson, Bob Hope, B.B. King, Santana and Norah Jones. Orchestral favorites include the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and New York Philharmonic.

The Amphitheater underwent a $9 million rennovation in 2001, bringing the facility to its current seating capacity, while adding additional amenities.

General Information
The Amphitheater seats 2,500 with 1,260 fixed seats and 1,240 general admission seats that offer excellent views of the stage from a grassy hillside. Seating for 20 disabled guests, plus one companion for each, is also available; please contact the Box Office for more information.
